Heating: Night storage heaters and electric radiators. Multifuel stove. For winter lets (November - March) a starter pack of kindling and coal/wood is provided. Additional coal/wood is available to buy. Outside: Just outside the door there is a fenced patio and gravel area with picnic bench seating. Beyond that, there is a gated and fenced gravel/grass area. Outside that there is a gravel car parking area (room for up to 4 cars) and a grass area surrounded on 3 sides by a beech hedge. Selection of garden furniture and barbecue. What we provide Please note - there is no land line telephone for the Forge. The most reliable network for the area is Vodafone. Guests are requested not to smoke in the cottage please. Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda and Waitrose all deliver to The Old Forge, so if you want to arrange for a delivery on the day of your arrival, just let us know and we will put it all away for you. If you would rather have local food, We Love Local Food also deliver. **** How to find us: Post code: NR12 9HL Or - from the A149 at Stalham, take the turning signposted to Happisburgh, Walcott and Bacton (Stepping Stone Lane). Turn left at the T junction and travel approx 2 miles. The Old Forge is on this road towards the bottom of the slight rise leading up to the big church. There is a small lane (Back Lane - no name sign) running along the back of the property. You need to go down this lane to access the parking. "This has been a fantastic holiday! The Old Forge has everything you need and in an excellent location. Nothing is too much trouble for Sue should you need anything. Thank you very much! Definitely coming back. Do try the Star Inn for dinner - excellent and only 2 miles away."
