The Old Piggery guest book comments
From
the guest book in the Old Piggery. We have had some
lovely people staying with some equally lovely dogs.
Every single comment has been reproduced here, in its
entirety. We are very proud of our guest book and very
grateful to all our guests for being so kind.
We've had a lovely time. The dogs have loved it and are
totally exhausted. A trip to the beach each day - most
of which we brought back with us - sand everywhere. the
piggery has been wonderful - everywhere is so homely and you
couldn;t want for more! we will be back again soon.
Thanks again. Love, everyone!

What can we say that hasn't already been said? Comfy,
cosy cottage - a home from home and then some. Despite
the weather we all had a lovely stay. Great walks along
the lanes and beaches at Cart Gap and Happisburgh. Saw
seal, barn owl, muntjac deer, skylarks during our stay.
Good meal at The Star at Lessingham. Hope to come back
soon when the weather is hopefully a lot better. Thanks
Sue and Dermot for the muffins and eggs and for looking after
us so well. Your attention to detail was very much
appreciated.
Judi and Keith Jones, Jean and Gerry Groves, Jennie and
Glen Miller and the George the dog. Feb 2010
An amazing cottage - like something from a magazine - and
definitely the best we've ever stayed in! Brilliant
walks straight from the cottage but some gret beaches too -
particularly Cart Gap whioch was almost deserted. We
really appreciated the lovely personal touches, such as the
muffins and dog biscuits and will defintely be back to visit
again. Thanks so much.
Anna, Tom and 2 tired labradors Feb 2010.
Had a great break. Cottage lovely. Thanks for
tasty cakes and doggy treats. had a couple of lunches at the
Hill House in Happisburgh - very friendly and gave dogs and us
great welcome plus good food. Dog tags great idea.

Delighted to finally stay at "the other" Old
Piggery!! A lovely week - dogs shattered from too much
running on the beach and humans chilled. Lovely food and
warm welcome at the Star in Lessingham. Thank you for
the sausages and look forward to seeing you at our "Old
Piggery" in a few weeks.
Carrie and Paul (+Holly, Jazz and Monty) and Dave and
Marie-Lou (+Cassie) Jan/Feb 2010.
Thank you for a wonderfully relaxing holiday
in perfect surroundings. Your recommendations have
always been spot on and the local dog-friendliness has been
amazing. Barney settled in very easily and won't want to
return home.
Rachel, James and Barney January 2010
We have had an amazing week in a perfect
cottage . The weather has been beautiful, not too much
snow and the walking is brilliant. We recommend Bacton
woods and the Happisburgh coastal walk (if it's not too
windy!) The walks from the cottage are great too -
especially in the snow. We didn't manage to get to the
coast this time but recommend Eccles/Sea Palling and
Winterton.
The cottage has everything you could possibly need and the log
burner is super. Tiny is worn out and says he needs new
paws! Thank you Sue and Dermot for a wonderful week. We
will definitely be back - if we can find a vacant week!!!
Don't forget to try the fish shop in Happisburgh. Thanks
again.
Claire, Alistair and Tiny January 2010
A return trip to Norfolk and an ideal spot
for a base. We walked through wind, rain, hail, snow and
sun (sometimes all in one day) Retail therapy in
Norwich, Weavers Way walks and Cromer fireworks. The
Piggery had everything we dreamed of. Many thanks.

And we even had snow! This is the
perfect place to spend Christmas - thanks for the Christmas
trees. The children had fun decorating (again and again!)
The stollen was delicious and we enjoyed walking off our
excesses at Cart Gap and Seal Palling. We're so glad we
came. Thank you. Happy Christmas and Peace and Joy
in the New Year.

A wonderfully relaxing break. Good

Very well equipped, warm and welcoming and a pleasure to come

all the animals.

Thank you for a lovely 'de-stressing' week
from all 3 of us. Buster says he enjoyed his first
seaside hols but wondered about those strange creatures in the
sea - going home for big zzzs and snores. Simon says -
thanks for magazine rack in loo - who says men can't
multitask??!. Beautiful cottage; everything well thought
out. We'll be back. Thank you Dermot for extra
logs and Sue and Dermot for everything.
Jude, Simon and Buster November 2009

An absolutely wonderful week, a complete
home from home, including the chickens! A great place to
relax and refresh before the Christmas rush.
The weather was crisp and sunny, revealing every beautiful
part of the countryside. The dogs had a tremendous time
as well. As my first time at the Piggery, I can't wait

Best cottage ever! The attention to
detail and the homely welcome has been much appreciated.
Superb showers, comfy bed, fabulous home cinema system, a
lovely outdoor area to relax plus everything we needed.
The problem now is any other cottage we visit will be compared
to this and the words "Not as good as The Old Piggery" will be
spoken. Thanks Sue and Dermot for everything. We
will be back in the future.
Sue and Geoff and Sabre (the
gorgeous, well mannered GSD) June 2009
Second visit - enjoyed it just as much.
Radar Museum was well worth the visit. Enjoyed the seals

Had a great weekend - probably (?) the first
Labrador Forums Old Piggery Get Together. Sure it won't
be the last. Everything we and our hounds could have
wished for - it's been Labrador heaven. Walks on the
beach, in the woods and round the fields. We met curious
seals in the sea and saw a stunning barn owl hunting in the
