"Thank you so much for the wonderful stay in your wonderful cottage.
The welcome hamper was a fabulous treat after a long drive and everything
was so easy to find.   The cottage was so welcoming, comfortable and
perfectly located for the glorious beach.  We have had the most wonderful
holiday with some space to truly breathe! Thank you so much."

DAISY ONLY AVAILABLE TO BOOK UNTIL APRIL 2018 SO ONLY A FEW WEEKS LEFT TO TRY THIS BEAUTIFUL SEASIDE PROPERTY

YOUR DOG MAGAZINE HAVE REVIEWED DAISY COTTAGE AND AWARDED IT 5 STARS!!  See here for the certificate!

Daisy is a traditional Victorian terraced cottage and has the original floorboards taken back to the bare wood and sealed and the original feature doors but all the fittings and furniture are brand new and to a very high and comfortable standard.  Its location on Beach Road in Sea Palling means that the beach is a very short and easy walk away. Sea Palling has Blue Flag status granted to it by the Keep Britain Tidy campaign for 2014/15 and again for 2015/2016.  Quite an achievement for such a small place.  Read about it here.

When you arrive:
The house has a lovely gravelled little front garden with old fashioned planting of lavender and roses and winter jasmine, surrounded by a picket fence. The painted front door leads straight into the ......

Living room:
Sanded and sealed wooden floorboards and rugs, comfy sofas, tv with internet and BlueRay, iPod docking station, book shelves with books and dvds.  The wood burning stove in feature fireplace means that you can be super cosy in the winter although the electric radiators are very efficient on their own.

Past the stairs and into the......

Dining Room

Sanded and sealed floorboards and rugs with the solid wood dining table to seat 4, matching chairs and sideboard and a large window into the garden beyond.  Understairs cupboard has plenty of room for storage and has the dog supplies (throws, towels, bowls etc)

Kitchen

Newly fitted kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and plenty of cupboard space.

From here the back door leads out into the .......

Garden

The new owners have left the garden just as it was when they bought the house, a real treasure trove of planting in a cottage garden style, very charming with something interesting growing all year round.  It is long and thin with the first section nearest the house having been made very dog proof with a gate and fence at the bottom.  The next section is like a secret garden, still fenced off but adventurous jumpers may find a way out.  There is a wooden table and chairs just outside the kitchen window and a barbecue available in one of the charming old sheds covered with flowering climbers.

Stairs

Up the stairs (steeper than in modern houses but with a handrail) there are the ......

Bedrooms
Both with very smart, solid wood framed double beds with cotton duvet covers and sheets.  Sanded floorboards throughout with rugs.  Matching wooden chests of drawers and hanging cupboard space.  One is at the front of the house and the other at the back down a short hall way at the end of which there is
the ......

Bathroom
All newly fitted with a bath with fitted shower over it (lovely big head for a great shower) and screen, toilet and sink with storage space.

From the front door the beach is approximately 2 minutes walk up Beach Road.  Just by the beach access is a dog friendly bar - Reef Bar - with plenty of outside seating, plus a couple of cafes and fish and chip shop and one small amusement arcade.  In the other direction along Beach Road there is the village shop and a quirky little fresh fish van round the corner.

The beach is sandy and has an artificial reef of rocks which forms a protected area of shallow water.
There are
restrictions in place on the beach for dogs from 1 May to 1 October but they are only not allowed to the left of the access ramp.

To the right of the ramp they are permitted year round and you can walk for miles on the sands and in the dunes.
A short walk takes you to Waxham where a few yards inland you will find Waxham Barn with its lovely cafe.
A longer walk will take you to Horsey, famous for its seals and the dog friendly Nelson's Head pub.
