Deepdale Cottage – Sea Palling

Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms

Character cottage tucked away in a seaside village

Looking forward to adding this gorgeous cottage to our selection.  Perfect location for beach walks and more, tucked away down a private track.”

Deepdale Cottage is in a perfect location.  Sea Palling is a fabulous little village with lots to offer, busy on sunny weekends but at Deepdale, you wouldn’t know it.  At the end of a private track, it is detached with a mature garden and enclosed parking.  From Sea Palling you can easily get up and down the coast to the huge selection of other sandy beaches and be on a boat on the Norfolk Broads within a few miles.

  • Sea Palling has a popular pub right by the beach – Reefs Bar
  • The dog friendly village cafe – Sandy Hills – is famous for the hot chocolate and fresh doughnuts
  • The village shop is well stocked and very friendly, a short walk away
  • Children have the choice of 2 play areas outside and a small arcade to spend your money!
  • The Blue Flag beach is dog friendly year round with rock reefs forming quiet sea areas.
  • Tide in?  No problem, head south along the dunes and enjoy the views.  Stop for a coffee at the Waxham Barns Cafe and walk back when the tide is going out.

Through the front door and into a very useful hall way, with hooks for coats and room for boot.  Tiled floor.  Just off this is the ..

Utility Room
Washing machine, tumble drier and plenty of shelves.

Shower and bath in this newly fitted out room.

From the hall, go into the

Lovely big open plan kitchen with dining area – all wood floored.  Very well equipped with electric range cooker (double oven and grill) and 6 gas burners including a central one ideal for stir frying.  There is a microwave, kettle and toaster too.  The fridge freezer is a tall, free standing model with plenty of space for fresh and frozen food.

There is a built in dresser/cupboard with plenty of room for all your holiday food (and wine!) and plenty of cupboard spaced and worktop.

The dining table is pine and seats 6 with a chair to the side, butchers block and drawers.   Views out onto the garden.  Decorative wood burner – not in use.

From here you go past the bottom of the stairs to the ….

Comfy seating, TV and DVD player and working wood burner for cosy evenings in and a door through to the ….

Beautiful big, airy space with lovely views into the garden and a door opening into it.  Plenty of seating – sofa and rocking chair.  A lovely place to relax.  A pine blanket box has dog throws in for the sofas.  Back through the lounge to the ..

The stairs are carpeted, have a hand rail and are straight and slightly steep.  There is another door onto the garden just opposite the stairs.  The owners have provided a stairgate at the top and bottom.  On the landing there is a pine wardrobe and the 3 bedrooms are off this.

Bedroom 1
King size bed with metal bed frame, built in wardrobe, mirror, side tables and lamps.

Bedroom 2
Double bed with wooden bed frame, wardrobe, mirror, side tables and lamps.

Bedroom 3
Single bed and Trundle bed (set up as single – can be twins), hanging space, mirror, side table and lamp.

There is enough parking off the private driveway and within the garden for three cars.  Entrance is through through the  gate (approx 3ft) and the parking area is gravelled.

The garden is enclosed all around with fence and hedge (4 – 5ft) with a lot of lovely mature hedge and trees, planted beds and lots of grass!  It’s been a family house for many years so it is a practical garden, great for dogs to run around in.

There are neighbouring chickens and ducks, the noise of which may bother your dogs but if not, they can’t be seen or come into the garden so shouldn’t have any impact.   Jumpers may be able to clear the gate but would only end up on the private track or neighbouring garden.

If your dogs love the beach then this is certainly the place for them! The easy access beach is a short walk away down Beach Road and then you have miles of sand for them to run on and some safe swimming too.

  • We accept approx. four dogs but please do ask us if you have more as we can be flexible!
  • Deepdale Cottage is non smoking.
  • There isn’t a lot of room for manouvre in the parking area and access so please bear this in mind if bringing large vehicles.
  • There is only the one bathroom, downstairs.

“Our first time at Hidden Gem but not East Ruston Cottages.   The cottage is absolutely wonderful and has a very homely feel.  We have had a really relaxing holiday in a stunning location and Hidden Gem is like a home from home.  The beach and dunes are beautiful and the garden has been perfect for our two hounds!  A very dog friendly holiday cottage. All the extra little touches and the welcome gifts have been much appreciated!  We will definitely be back!! "

The cottage is amazing, you have thought of everything (even supplied fantastic weather!). The decoration is lovely, beds so comfortable. It was so nice to be able to bring the dogs so they could have a holiday with us and experience the beach for the first time."
