The beach is beautiful, our cockerpoo loved it, as he did Bacton woods, which we visited most mornings. We’d like to come back again this year, as it’s been one of the best holidays we have had in recent times.”

  • Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life but an easy walk to many local amenities.
  • Walk easily from here to not one but 3 dog friendly cafes.  Cafe Carmel, Watsons and The Kingfisher Cafe
  • The nearby local pubs are dog friendly too and an easy walk.  The Lighthouse Inn and Poachers Pocket.
  • Fish and chips, local small shops and Chinese take away too.
  • Easy access to the rest of the dog welcoming Norfolk coast.
  • If Stones Throw is booked for your dates, how about nearby Seaview Cottage or Sandmartins

Hello!

I’m Victoria and this is Pip and we’re giving you a big friendly welcome to Stones Throw! I’ve lived in Norfolk for over a decade now and can say, Norfolk has my heart, even though I’ve lived in many beautiful places. For me it’s the space this county offers, its gentle feel, expansive coastline, the miles of golden sand, backed by glorious countryside; a county teaming with wildlife and its diverse habitats.

Born on the Isle of Wight, the seaside was a big part of my early life and it’s been great to circle back ‘home’ after a long time away. I’ve felt warmly welcomed in Norfolk and every day I enjoy the benefits of this, beyond dog friendly county!

My wish to share what I’ve found here, led me to Stones Throw. Now, much loved by my guests, I offer it to you, your family, friends and beloved four-legged companions.

I hope you enjoy it here and have many, many wonderful adventures together.

About the property

All about the inside:

Entrance Hall
Enter the property into the large spacious entrance hall. From here there is access to all three bedrooms, the bathroom and living area.

Bedroom 1
Bright and airy bedroom with kingsize bed. There is plenty of storage with wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. There is also a smart TV.

Bedroom 2
Bedroom 2 has a comfortable double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets.

Bedroom 3
Bedroom 3 is a twin room with two 3′ single beds. There is a wardrobe, chest of drawers and shared bedside table. The window looks out into the back garden.

Bathroom
The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC.

Living/Dining Area
The open plan living/dining area has a dining table to seat 6. There are two large comfortable sofas, coffee table and wall mounted smart TV.

Kitchen
The well equipped kitchen has a double electric oven with gas hob, free standing fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.

Conservatory
The conservatory is accessed through the living area and a bonus chill out space. There are armchairs with footrests to enjoy your relaxing holiday! You can access the back garden from here.

All about the outside:

Rear Garden
The rear garden is fully enclosed and secure with 6ft solid fencing or walls. It is part patio, part lawn with room for a hot tub that can be hired separately.  The patio has dining table with 6 chairs and a parasol.

Parking
Parking is at the front of the property on a large gravel area and in front of the garage. There is space for four cars.

Will this property suit my dogs?

Yes! The garden, although not huge, is very secure.  It’s possible you may hear noise from the adjoining gardens so do bear this in mind if your dog is reactive but there will be no chance of escape and lots of chances of running and sniffing! Nothing can be seen from within the garden. If your dogs love the beach, this is the house for them!

Please note:

  • Stones Throw is a non smoking property.
  • Electric car, bike or scooter/wheelchair charging is NOT available at this property.
  • Guests can arrange hot tub hire via Norfolk Spa and Leisure
  • All major supermarkets deliver here.  Please make sure you are here to receive delivery.
  • Dogs are welcome to join you on the beds.
  • We would prefer that your dogs are not left alone in the property unless you are 100% confident that they will not get stressed.  If they are crate trained and you would like to use a crate, please do ask us. We know how bulky they are to pack!

Accessibility

Parking is right outside the house but is on gravel.  The gravel continues to a concrete sloped path leading to the front door.  The dining and lounge area are open plan so plenty of space for moving around and the floors are solid with rugs. The bathroom has a bath with grab rails and a shower over.

“A very clean and comfortable cottage, minutes from the beach, where you can walk for hours. We were so lucky to see many seals swimming along. It was so quiet here you could hear a pin drop. The welcome cake was a real treat.  A small walk on the beach takes you to the Kingfisher Café and Fish Bar. In the other direction, Watson’s for coffee, exceptional cake and sandwiches.
