This beautifully renovated thatched cottage – full of dog love – offers single storey living with living room and snug for the perfect chilled break. With eateries and the famous Roys of Wroxham shops a short walk away, you could spend your whole stay without having to move the car once.
Having a hot tub in the garden adds an extra special touch for a truly relaxing break by the Broads.

Living Room
The inglenook fireplace is the focal point of this cosy room. A large and comfortable L-shaped sofa faces the Smart TV. Windows face both the front and rear gardens.
Kitchen
The modern fitted kitchen comes equipped with all mod-cons including undercover fridge and freezer, integrated dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and hob, microwave, air fryer and Tassimo coffee machine.
Bedroom One
Kingsize wooden bed with a window to the rear garden. There are bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe and chest of drawers for plenty of storage and a Smart TV. Enjoy use of the bath robes in the wardrobe!
Bedroom Two
Two 3′ single beds make the perfect twin room. This lovely light room has windows over the front and rear gardens, as well as beautiful stained glass windows adding to the character of this property. There is a large wardrobe, chest of drawers and Smart TV.
Bathroom
The family bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. There is a WC and sink.
Conservatory
Through the kitchen to the conservatory and dining area. A lovely place to enjoy the sunshine!
Snug
A lovely quiet area to chill on your holiday, with comfortable seating and views over the front and rear gardens.

Driveway
The long shingle driveway leads up to the property with parking for three vehicles. Close the 5-bar gate behind you for a fully secure garden.
Front garden
The front garden has a large lawned area, as well as patio with pergola with comfortable seating. The solid brick walls range from 3-4ft high and the two pedestrian gates have been reinforced to stop little escapees! There is a small orchard area which is fenced and gated.
Rear garden
The rear garden is fully enclosed with 5-6ft solid fencing with a gate that can be secured from the inside. This area is paved with shingle areas and the wonderful 5 seater hot tub!
Will this property suit my dogs?
Dog love is what we do here!
The property is set back from the road and the rear garden is fully enclosed and not overlooked. Vehicles and people may be seen from the front garden along the footpath. The village of Hoveton and neighbouring Wroxham can be busy, but if your dogs are social they will love to explore this area!
Please note:
- Check in is from 4pm, check out by 10am.
- Thatched Cottage is strictly NO SMOKING/VAPING
- If you wish for dogs to join you on the bed, please do bring your own sheets.
- Electric car, bike or mobility scooter charging is NOT permitted at this property.
- All supermarkets deliver here. Please ensure you will be here for your delivery.
- The hot tub is charged at £130 for a week, £100 for a short break.
Accessibility
Parking: Is on gravel on the driveway and the access to the house is over the gravel area in the garden and steps into the property.
Bedrooms: Both on the ground floor with standard width doorways.
Bathroom: On the ground floor with shower over the bath.
Living area: The main living area and kitchen are all on one level, however there are internal steps in the property.
Flooring: Solid wood flooring throughout.
The property does not cater specifically for mobility, audibly or visually impaired guests but please do contact us if you would like to know more to help you.

“An Absolute Dream for Humans and Hounds Alike at Thatched Cottage!
From the moment we pulled up to the Thatched Cottage, we knew we’d found somewhere truly special – and our dog, Smudge, agreed! After two stays here Smudge thinks the Thatched Cottage is his!
This particular stay here exceeded all our expectations and made for one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays we’ve ever had. The cottage itself is simply stunning. The photos honestly don’t do it justice – it’s even more charming and beautifully presented in person. Every detail has been thought of, from the cozy interiors to the incredibly well-equipped kitchen.
But what truly made our trip exceptional was the genuine consideration for our furry friend. The welcome pack wasn’t just for us; it included thoughtful treats and even bowls for Smudge. As we were celebrating 1-year since we rescued Smudge, Paul and Lisa treated him and us to a voucher to Wroxham hotel and a bottle of special doggy beer for Smudge. The location is also perfect for dog owners. We enjoyed countless long walks, exploring beautiful nearby beaches and country trails. After our adventurous days, coming back to the comfort of Thatched Cottage was pure bliss.
Paul made sure that the hot tub was ready for us to use. Both Paul and Lisa were incredibly thoughtful and responsive, ensuring our stay was seamless from start to finish. It’s clear they understand what dog owners are looking for in a holiday, and they’ve truly created a “home from home” experience.
