Hi, I’m Sue, and the picture is of me and my previous greyhound Tiffany, who is the reason why I’m here today! Because of her, I first found out about East Ruston Cottages and the lovely sandy beaches and big skies here in North Norfolk. I’ve been coming up on holidays ever since, either just me and the dog, or with friends and family (with or without additional dogs…). My current dog, Mr Benjamin, is a rescue galgo from Spain and of course he has also been coming to visit Norfolk regularly since I adopted him in 2019.

Will this property suit my dogs?
If your dog is sociable and loves the sea, then yes! If your dog wants to run and paddle to their heart’s content this is a pawfect spot, just moments from the beach. The enclosed decking area is a great place for them to watch the world go by (though to be fair there isn’t much of that going on!) The beach goes in either direction for miles so there is plenty of walking and there are some inland routes too.
If your dog is reactive then this might not be the best choice for them as there may be people, dogs, traffic going past. Not often and very slowly but obviously busier in the summer months – as will be the beach. Outside of the main parts of the season this is a very quiet lodge park so may be easier for them then.
Please note:
- Arrival from 4pm, check out 10am.
- Dogs must be on leads transiting around the site.
- BBQs are not permitted.
- We ask that you bring your own bedding if your dogs would like to join you on the bed.
- Laundrette room located centrally within the park adjacent to the clubhouse offers reasonably priced large commercial washing machines and tumble dryers.
