One of the biggest compliments we can receive is when guests come back to East Ruston Cottages year after year - so we LOVE thanking that loyalty in different ways.
Discount Codes
| If you are a returning guest you will get an email offering you a 10% discount code to use on your next booking with us. It gets used a LOT as we have so many returning guests! Well over 67% at the last count!
If you are new to ERC you can access a 12% discount code if you join up to our mailing list. Click Here to join. You can of course unsubscribe at any time and we try only to send out interesting and relevant emails - letting you know about new properties, last minute availability, offers and more. If you follow us on social media - Facebook and Instagram - we also occasionally announce a random SundaySaving discount of 15%, just for bookings made on that Sunday (we sometimes sneak it over to Monday too). Always worth keeping an eye out - it's a very popular one! In April we always celebrate our birthday too with a special birthday discount. That always gets watched for and goes down very well! In April 2026 we will have been welcoming dogs to Norfolk for 18 years so put that in your diary and watch out for that! We get SO many bookings with the birthday discount codes. Vouchers
This is one of our favourites! For our regular repeat guests we offer a whole range of £10 vouchers for a lovely selection of our local independent businesses. Cafes, farm shops, fish and chip shops, butchers, fishmongers! All places we use ourselves. We are passionate about supporting our local businesses, all of them independent like we are, and we really want our guests to enjoy and support them too. It works well and our voucher selection is very popular! They are either waiting for you when you arrive or we post them out to you in plenty of time for your holiday.

Cafes
Smallsticks Cafe - very popular cafe at Cart Gap, Happisburgh. Ideal for lunch or tea and cake after a beach walk. Special dog beach huts provided!
Watsons - very dog friendly cafe at Bacton with a special doggy menu! Plenty of space and parking right outside. Dogs welcome inside.
Dunes Cafe - dog friendly at Waxham Barns near Sea Palling and Hickling. Great location and good food selection. Dogs welcome inside.
Cafe Carmel - Specialising in serving very good homemade vegan food and excellent coffee in Bacton. Dogs welcome inside.
Hirst's Farmshop and Cafe - Gorgeous cafe in lovely little village called Ormesby (5 minutes from Winterton). Dogs welcome inside.
Poppy's Tea Room - Pretty little tea room offering sit in a take away options right in the centre of Winterton. Dogs welcome inside.
Beach Rock Bistro - Cafe in Sea Palling, right by the beach, offering a great locally sourced menu. Dogs welcome inside.
Butchers
Tavern Tasty - Fabulous family butchers with a shop outside Trunch/North Walsham. All sorts of other things too - bread, biscuits, preserves, local goodies, veg etc
Causeway Butchers - on the Sea Palling Road, great local butcher with pies and other cooked food and dog bones often available, local produce too.
Fish,chips, veg and lots more
Meales Farm Shop just outside Stalham. Lots of lovely local food to buy and while you are there, pop in for a coffee; dogs are very welcome outside on the beautiful covered patio area.
Hirst's Farmshop and Cafe - As well as the cafe they have a really well stocked farmshop with lots of local produce, including meat and a fish counter too.
Fair Maiden Fish Shop in Happisburgh. The very best fish shop in the area!
Cooks of Ingham - a small family run business, offering a good selection of quality fruit, vegetables and potatoes, home grown and locally selected for freshness.
Winterton Fish Bar - The very popular Winterton fish and chip shop. It's the best around!
Happisburgh Village Shop - the local shop selling a small range of very lovely local food including bread from Bread of Haven that you can order and pick up.
