Single storey dog friendly properties
Looking for a Single-Storey Dog-Friendly Cottage in Norfolk?
This is one we get asked about quite a lot, particularly from guests travelling with older dogs, dogs with mobility problems or humans whose knees aren't quite as enthusiastic about stairs as they once were!
So, yes, we do have a selection of single-storey dog-friendly cottages in Norfolk, and you can search specifically for them on our website.

Black Horse Barn is horse welcoming too!
Why choose a single storey cottage?
Sometimes it's simply easier.
If you've got an older dog who struggles with stairs, a dog recovering from an injury or one whose little legs weren't really designed with staircases in mind, having everything on one level can make a holiday much more relaxing.
It can also be useful for people with limited mobility, families with young children, or anyone who would simply rather not negotiate stairs every time they've forgotten their glasses/phone/dog treats.
And if you're travelling with several dogs, you'll appreciate the joy of not standing at the bottom of a staircase at bedtime shouting everyone's names.
What kind of single storey cottages do we have?
Single storey doesn't necessarily mean a standard bungalow.
Our Norfolk cottages come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, so depending on availability you might find converted barns, characterful cottages, more modern properties and lovely rural hideaways, with options suitable for couples right through to larger groups and, of course, multiple dogs.
As with all our properties, the dog friendly details vary too. So if you need a secure garden with a particular fence height, somewhere suitable for a reactive dog, easy access to walks or beaches, or space for a larger doggy family, you can narrow things down further using our search options.
